Just another afternoon

I took a quick video of a typical afternoon at our house.  So many things about this video are just the norm for our family, but I want to point them out so that I will always remember.  These are a few of my favorite things in the order they appear in the video:

1. Harris's chubby legs and feet make his walking seem miraculous.
2. Harris's upper body seems to be at the constant mercy of where his lower body leads him, almost like he's surprised by his legs' actions sometimes.
3. Olivia's beautiful outfit she adorned herself with this morning, and her hairstyle that I spent more time on this morning than I did my own.
4. Olivia's ability to be wild and then slow down and gently share with her brother.
5. Olivia accidentally bouncing the ball on Harris's face.  There are two things to note about this (my typical yin/yang kids):
1. He doesn't even notice that he got a little bump on the schnoze and stops crying as soon as he gets the ball which is what he wanted the whole time.
2. Olivia from this point on is upset and is upset because she thinks she hurt him.  This continues for several minutes post-video as she sulked behind the tree.
6. Harris's head thrown back/open mouth cry that makes me laugh every time.
7. The heavy breathing of concentration that Harris always has going on.
8. Neil sitting peacefully on the bench, soothing Olivia and then scooping Harris up.

 

Typical

Typical commute picture of Diva eating a cereal bar and Beefcake trying to figure out how he could possibly get it. 
Perhaps he could combine his desire to be without shoes and chuck one at her head.  May sound harsh, but I'm a realist...it will happen.
