Mommy Stalker

So Olivia's new thing is "boo-boo's." She is obsessed with them. Last week she fell hard and skinned up both her knees pretty bad. Now, whatever chance she gets, she points them out to me. I acknowledge them and explain that everybody gets "boo-boo's." She says, "Mommy's boo-boo" to which she is referring to the blister my work heels caused. I explain, yes Mommy has a boo-boo too. However, one weird fact is that Olivia loves to put bandaids all over Mommy, but is terrified of them herself. It doesn't matter what kind, Dora, WonderPets, Littlest Pet Shope, etc bandaid I buy, she FREAKS if I mention putting it on the booboo, much less actually do it. The act of putting a bandaid on a booboo is way more traumatic than the injury itself. This has become a problem due to the fact that she obsesses about her knees now and the crusting over sores, and expects them to be kissed at every turn. I do that willingly of course, but I'm afraid each time she falls that she is going to scrape them further, or pick at them. So...I did what any other obsessive stalked...I mean mother, would do. I snuk (or sneaked) into her room last night when she was sound asleep, felt around in the dark and put a flesh colored bandaid on her booboos. She awoke this morning aware of it, but was completely fine with the fact that there was something there protecting the booboo. It was still there when I picked her up after work, so my trick has been successful! Now, how am I going to get the thing off to bathe her???

Daycare Luau

The Presbyterian CDC is so much fun! They have so many events and parties constantly that it's hard to keep up. Here are some pictures from the end of summer break Luau that I was able to attend.
